Judy Vicars is a writer and longtime community volunteer who has worked with Hosparus, Maryhurst and the Neighborhood Visitor Program food pantry, as well as Habitat for Humanity. She’s known as “the great interlocutor” of several book groups she enjoys on personal and spiritual growth, A prolific writer of letters to the editor, she once had a legendary and quite hilarious give-and-take in the Courier-Journal with its late, great columnist John Ed Pearce. She says she got the best of him. She lives in Louisville with her husband of 47 years,
